The Five Reasons Why We Choose Sonic..

As many of you know, Panjea has made the move to the popular, top 100 blockchain – Sonic ($S). We completed a comprehensive review of all our potential partners (they had to be EVM compatible) and found that Sonic offered us the most optimal chance of success in the competitive world of social-fi.

1. Ultra-fast user experience (sub-second finality)

Panjea thrives on engagement loops – creating constant micro-transactions. Sonic’s sub-second transaction finality ensures these actions feel instant, creating the seamless, “Web2-like” speed users expect in a social platform while retaining Web3 transparency.

Allowing us to really deliver what’s been lacking from the Web3 space – a platform that feels and behaves like it’s got the style and substance of some of the biggest and most successful players in the field.

2. EVM-compatibility for rapid innovation

Because Sonic is fully EVM-compatible, Panjea can tap directly into the massive pool of Ethereum developers, tools, and smart contracts. That lowers build costs, accelerates feature rollouts, and makes it easier to integrate existing DeFi, NFT, and gaming mechanics into Panjea’s ecosystem.

We’ve always wanted Panjea to be a full, enterprise-level proposition for the Web3 audience. With such a wealth of tools and technology available from Sonic, some much-needed features can already be added from their community.

3. Creator-first economics

Sonic shares up to ~90% of transaction fees with dApp developers. For Panjea, this means more revenue flows to the creators and builders, fueling the platform and aligning directly with Panjea’s mission to gamify content and reward the community.

This was vital for us when considering Sonic. We saw real synergy between the wider, community-centric views of Panjea and their leadership team and believe this long-term commitment will ensure that our message connects and resonates with their audience.

4. Low fees make micro-transactions viable

A key part of Panjea’s model is gamification through tokenised rewards. Sonic’s efficient architecture keeps transaction fees negligible, so every interaction, no matter how small, remains economically sustainable and fun for users.

Panjea has always been about creators. By ensuring that fees for every single transaction through our platform are as low as possible, we can return as much value as possible to our core users, whilst retaining the remaining value to power platform development.

5. Cross-chain connectivity and growth potential

Through Sonic’s bridges and interoperability features, Panjea can easily connect with Ethereum and other ecosystems. This expands Panjea’s reach, allowing users to bring in assets, NFTs, and tokens from outside, positioning Panjea not as a closed garden but as a hub within the wider Web3 landscape.

Panjea will always be looking to grow and expand – and not unlike many Web3 projects, we see cross-chain partnerships as a significant part of that picture. Being on the Sonic chain ensures we remain as open to as many future opportunities as possible.

And of course, this move represents a significant step towards Panjea’s goals of launching in 2025 – and making the transition from testnet to mainnet. We still believe that the world needs a social media platform that offers a different proposition for users – and puts the people who create at the centre of the community.
